APPLICATION PROCESS

The 2024 funding is now open and will close for applications on Tuesday 30th April.

For clarification, applications will be accepted from, and funds will only be awarded to, one project from any single applicant, irrespective of the applicant being an association, society, group or umbrella group.

Requirements

Funds are only available for use or purpose of supporting local environmental, educational, amenity or other appropriate registered, not for profit initiatives within the area of benefit (Largs, Fairlie and Cumbrae) which are consistent with the principles of environmental, sustainability, energy efficiency, conservation and social sustainability. The recipient of funds shall not own, have a commercial interest or derive any commercial/personal financial benefit from the project.

Each applicant programme must demonstrate its ability to fulfil one, or more, of the following objectives:

  • Social sustainability
  • Environmental efficiency
  • Energy efficiency.

This is to the benefit of the community and must include tangible and recognisable action or actions, which might be educational, creative, or promote social interaction between or within the community.

Process

  • Applications will only be considered on the formal application form.
  • All applications must answer every question and section in the application form and provide copies of the requested / required support documents. Electronic documents must be in a PDF format.
  • Failure to comply with any of the above will result in the application being rejected.
  • Incomplete, or incorrectly completed application forms will automatically be rejected.
  • While there is no minimal or maximum level of funding available, each application must demonstrate the amount and sources of support funding available.
  • Successful applications are required to complete bi-annual reports on progress and achievements. These reports must include financial analyses of use of funds.
  • Funds will be awarded to one project from any single applicant be it an individual association, society, group or umbrella group.
  • Members may arrange for stage payments.
  • Applicants are required to confirm the number of paid employees and or consultants employed.
  • Successful applicants cannot apply for further funds in consecutive years.
  • Once awarded no further communication will be entered into with unsuccessful applicants.
  • Other than through the office of the Administrator, Members will not engage or respond to any applicant before, during or after the awards have been made.

If required, members may invite any applicant group for interview; failure to respond or appear will result in the application being rejected.
